Terms of Service

Last updated 9 July 2026.

These are the rules for using here. We’ve kept them short and in plain language. By using here, you agree to them. If you don’t, please don’t use the service.

Who can use here

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • You verify your identity once (a government ID and a selfie, handled by our provider Didit) before you can join an activity. One real person, one account.
  • You give us accurate information about yourself and keep it that way.

What here is (and isn't)

here introduces people and suggests real-world activities to meet at. That’s it. We are not the host or organiser of those meetups, we are not present at them, and we don’t supervise them. The people you meet are other members, not our staff. Use the same judgement you would meeting anyone new: meet in the public place suggested, tell a friend where you’re going, and trust your instincts.

How to behave

here works because people are decent. So:

  • Be respectful and inclusive. No harassment, hate, threats, or discrimination.
  • here is for friendship, not dating. Don’t use it to hit on people or make anyone uncomfortable.
  • Only join something you intend to attend. If plans change, leave the activity in the app in good time so your spot opens up.
  • Show up as yourself. No impersonation, no fake profiles, no sharing your account.
  • If you add a photo, make it a recent, real one of you, nothing offensive and never someone else. It is only shown to your crew, once you have met. We can remove a photo that breaks this.
  • No illegal activity, and nothing that puts other members at risk.

If someone breaks these rules, report them in the app. We read every report and can warn, suspend, or permanently remove accounts.

Your safety, and your own risk

Meeting new people in real life carries normal real-world risk. Identity verification and our rules reduce it, but they can’t remove it. You take part in activities of your own free will and at your own risk. To the fullest extent the law allows, here is not liable for the conduct of members or for anything that happens at a meetup. If a booking, ticket, or venue is involved, arranging and paying for it is up to you and your group.

Ending your use

You can delete your account any time (email us). We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and we may remove content that doesn’t belong here.

Changes

here is early and evolving, so these terms may change. If we make a meaningful change, we’ll let you know in the app. Continuing to use here means you accept the update.
